Jill Scott Talks To Uncle Steve About New Movie and Music On The Way!

It was a true pleasure to have singer, actor, and author Jill Scott on the show this morning. She's currently promoting her new Lifetime movie "Highway to Heaven" premiering this Saturday at 8/7 CT. Not only is she acting in this movie, but she's also the Executive Producer. She thought it was the right thing to do so that she could make decisions in her role and on set. "Sets can be very challenging, just trying to get through it. I wanted to make sure that the energy was high and that the camaraderie was there. I wanted to create a team environment and that's what we've done." She went on to say that this will not be her last Executive Producer title either.

In "Highway to Heaven", Jill plays the character, Angela, an angel sent down to Earth for an assignment she knows nothing about. Jill says she made sure that although her character was an angel, that the character had imperfections too.

If you're wondering about new music from Ms.Scott, just know that it's in the works and she's excited about it. Jill said, "I can't move until my spirit moves me. I was waiting for Producers that understand a hook, a verse, bridges." She's finally found the right producers for her, and who they are might shock you.
