Chris Brown held a public yard sale on Tuesday (November 5th) after making the announcement on social media. According to Rap-Up, Brown revealed the address to his Tarzana, California home, where he was selling high-end designer items. The items were marked to significantly low prices and a portion of the proceeds will go towards non-profit organizations that Brown supports.
TMZ reports that the LAPD attempted to shut down the yard sale using a law that doesn’t actually exist. Brown was visited by an LAPD officer, who formed him the he couldn’t have the sale because he didn’t have a permit.
When Brown’s lawyer got involved and told police that permits are not required in the city of L.A., the yard sale continued operating.
The singer announced that they were letting people in 10 at a time, as 100 people lined up at around 7 a.m.
