Victoria Goodwin, the wife of Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin, shared a photo of herself cuddled up with her husband and their pet cat one week before being arrested for an alleged murder-for-hire plot plot targeting him.
“Cuddle puddle with my boys,” she wrote in the caption of the Instagram post shared on February 27.
Victoria, 32, was charged for solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to murder, according to a police report obtained by TMZ on Monday (March 10). She is accused of messaging an inmate at an undisclosed Florida prison dating back to 2024 and openly expressing her intention to have her husband killed to get out of her marriage.
“Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce,” Victoria allegedly wrote in a text to the inmate, according to police.
Victoria allegedly offered the inmate $11,515 to kill her husband and shared information about Aaron's location to provide to a hitman the inmate was communicating with from prison. Aaron, 48, was reported to be filming Ghost Adventures in California when the planned hit was scheduled to take place.
“He’s asleep right now in the hotel room … I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?” the inmate texted the hitman, according to police.
It's unclear what happened with the hired hitman, however, Victoria is reported to have made a payment of $2,500 to have her husband killed. Police said the alleged murder-for-hire plot was discovered after corrections officers at the prison confiscated the phone the inmate was using as contraband, TMZ reported.
Victoria denied having ever wanted to have her husband killed, instead claiming she was only “daydreaming or fantasizing about being without her husband” and didn't recall sending the messages about the murder-for-hire plot. The 32-year-old admitted to having marital problems but denied wanting to have her husband murdered, instead claiming the money mentioned in the conversations were for a cellphone.
Goodwin was reported to have been "blindsided and devastated at this turn of events," believing he was "in a happy marriage," sources with knowledge of the situation told TMZ.
