Kelly Clarkson Teases Her 'Favorite/Hardest' Project To Date

Kelly Clarkson is ready to one up her discography with a new release and the American Idol OG has already deemed it her best work to-date.

On Thursday night (April 2), Clarkson, 37, took to social media to share news of a new song titled "I Dare You" and it's set to drop April 16. "This is my favorite/hardest project that I’ve ever worked on. I can’t wait for you to hear [it]," the multi-talent captioned the artwork, which features a fresh-faced Clarkson with her hair slicked back. Earlier this year, Clarkson contributed new music as part of the Trolls World Tour: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, which was primarily produced by Justin Timberlake.

As the coronavirus quarantine continues, Clarkson has paused production on her daytime talk show, but viewers can still catch her on The Voice, which is airing episodes taped before the production went into a freeze.

Amidst the chaos, Clarkson has been spending time with her family in Montana, but she did take some time recently to share a cover of Mariah Carey's "Vanishing" off off the pop titan's 1990 debut album. "This is for Mariah because I know she saw that Voice episode," she said on Instagram. "I thought it would be cool because people keep asking 'Hey will you do some videos?' And fans keep saying ‘Where are you?' And I’m in a bathroom."
