French Montana Speaks For The First Time Since Armed Home Invasion

French Montana is doing just fine days after his home was burglarized.

The “Unforgettable” rapper took to Instagram on Thursday (August 3) to update his fans for the first time since two armed men entered his home on Tuesday (July 31).

“To all the people that been checkn on me thank you I’m in the best shape of my life,” he captioned a photo of his Calabasas home. “I’m not a clout chaser, and I don’t jump on the internet as soon as things happen ! I Liv a real life ! That can’t be on the Internet sometimes ! U might find your girl here u ain’t going to find no money we keep it in the bank 😂 I’m not your average rapper.”

TMZ was the first to report that French’s home was robbed.

Two armed male suspects reportedly forced entry into French's mansion while the 33-year-old rapper and an unknown number of people were inside. Law enforcement told TMZ that they responded to an armed robbery call around 9 a.m., but the break-in occurred several hours prior. It was initially unclear if anyone in the home was injured. However, no one required hospitalization.

While authorities confirmed that a home invasion occurred, cops did not immediately know what was stolen.

Most recently, The Blast reported that French’s neighbors are being asked to hand over any possible video of the incident to the L.A. County Sheriff.

Even though French’s home sits in an exclusive gated community, it has had multiple issues in the past. Selena Gomez, who sold the home to French in 2016, had a few scary incidents occur on the property.

In 2014, just days after she moved in, a man was arrested after he broke into Selena's guest house while she was home. While the suspect was charged with burglary and trespassing, hours after his release from jail he was arrested again for scaling a fence to get back onto her property.

Selena put the house back on the market in 2015, a year and a half after she purchased it.
