Legends of Comedy Live Forever

This weekend we lost 2 pillars of comedy who's reign defined legends. Comedian, Author, Philanthropist Dick Gregory, was a fixture in the 60's civil rights movement. Marching with Martin Luther King Junior at Selma where he and his wife were briefly jailed. He was friends with Malcom X and Medgar Evers and ran for Mayor of Chicago back in 1967. This man's legacy has spanned decades and influence every generation with his wisdom, comedy, and dedication to humanity. He passed on Saturday at the age of 84.

The very next day Sunday, August 20, Comedian Jerry Lewis passed away at the age of 91. Known for his slap-stick comedy...

β€œJerry was a pioneer in comedy and film. And he was a friend,” said acting great Robert De Niro, a co-star with Lewis in the 1982 Martin Scorsese film β€œThe King of Comedy.” - New York Post

Jerry Lewis was also known for decades to host the Muscular Distrophy telethon held ever labor day weekend. He would raise money for 24 hours straight. He raised nearly 2.5 billion dollars in the late 2000's.

Listen below to what the crew had to say.
